Parkinson's Support Group (9:00 am)
Parkinson’s Support Group meetings are held at Henderson County Community Hospital on the first Thursday of each month.  Come to know others who are suffering with Parkinson’s disease and discuss some things that are presently in the research development for either a cure or an improvement in treatment. VFW To Meet (6:30 pm)
The VFW 4971 meets the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m.   The December 1 meeting will feature a Christmas Dinner and the Voice of Democracy Awards as well as fellowship with fellow veterans.   For more information, contact Herbert Barnes at 968-4326. Roaring Through The Decade (6:30 pm)
Scotts Hill High School alumni are invited to attend Roaring through the Decade, a ten year celebration banquet Saturday, May 5. Festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Scotts Hill cafetorium.   The event is $10 per person, payable to Scotts Hill High School, Attn. Kay Hart 7871 Highway 100 Reagan, Tenn. Lady Panther Fundraiser (All Day)
The Riverside Lady Panthers basketball team will be working at Food Giant on May 26 carrying out items for Food Giant customers.   This is a fundraiser for summer team camp.

Perryville Comm Ctr Cornhole Tourney (3:00 pm)
Perryville Community Center will have a Cornhole tournament on May 26 at 3 p.m. The cost is $10 per team and prizes include a $25 gift certificate to Dixie Sporting Goods. Following the tournament at 6:30 p.m. will be Movie Night with feature Soul Surfer.   Admission is free and concessions will be available. Proceeds will be used for upkeep of the Perryville Community Center.

Commodity Distribution (8:00 am)
Southwest Human Resource Agency will be distributing commodities on May 31, 2012, at the Decatur County Fairgrounds. Distribution time will be from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.   No cards will be accepted after 12 p.m.   Each person will only be allowed to pick up for two households.   If you have lost your card, you must go to your local Southwest HRA office to pick up a lost card certification.   If you do not have a card and wish to obtain one, you must do so prior to distribution day.   No new cards will be issued on that day.
